Homeroom 4A:
My name is Abeera Malik, and I am so excited to start the new year as your 4th grader’s teacher. This is my 4th year as full-time teacher at Crescent Academy International. I graduated from Wayne State University with Bachelor Degree in Science. I earned my teacher certification from Schoolcraft College. My previous experience includes work as full-time substitute teacher for three years and tutoring for nearly ten years. I have two daughters, 11 and 13 years old. Teaching is my passion. For me, one of the best feelings in the world is seeing my students succeed. I look forward to getting to know your child and have wonderful learning experiences, fun, and adventures in the classroom. Sincerely, Mrs. Abeera Malik [email protected] |
Homeroom 4B:
My name is Danielle Simpson, and you may refer to me as Mrs. Simpson, Sr. Danielle, or Sr. Dan. I graduated from Wayne State University (go Warriors!) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a major in International Studies in 2004. I worked in the market research field for a number of years before attending Eastern Michigan University (go Eagles!) to pursue my passion - teaching. While attending EMU I completed a post-baccalaureate elementary teacher certification program and earned endorsements in Social Studies and English as a Second Language in 2012. I hold a Professional Teaching Certificate in the State of Michigan. I began my teaching career in August 2013 as a third grade teacher here at CAI. I began teaching seventh grade English Language Arts and Social Studies in August 2018. The 2020-2021 school year is my second year in a row teaching fourth grade, alhamdulillah. It is also my eighth year teaching at CAI. I look forward to continuing to build strong bonds with my students and their families. On a personal note, I live in Livonia with my husband Craig and my rescue dog Bernadette (Bernie), a very sweet and somewhat timid American Staffordshire Terrier. Sincerely, Mrs. Danielle Simpson [email protected] |

Communication between parents and teachers is a vital aspect to a child's education. We strongly encourage all parents to contact us with any questions or concerns.
E-mail is the best form of communication, as it allows us to fully reflect on the situation and provide you with the best possible response. If we are able to respond to your inquiry via email, we will reply insha'Allah within a day. If it is an issue that requires us to communicate virtually via Zoom, we will ask you to schedule a Zoom meeting.
Thank you for your commitment to your child's holistic education!
